1 Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of hirelocksmiths.com and any related services (collectively, the “Service”) provided by HireLocksmiths (the “Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2 What HireLocksmiths is (and what it isn’t)
HireLocksmiths is a directory and verification network that connects consumers with independent locksmith businesses. We verify license, insurance, and identity for the locksmiths listed in the verified-tier directory.
Any service work, pricing, refunds, warranty, or dispute related to locksmith work is between you and the individual locksmith.
3 Accounts & verification
You may use most of the Service without creating an account. Some features — including the locksmith Join Network application, badge embed code, and newsletter management — require an account.
Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- If you sign up on behalf of a business, you must have the authority to bind that business to these Terms.
Locksmith verification
Locksmith businesses applying for verified-tier listing agree to provide license, insurance, ownership, and background-check documentation, and to keep that documentation current. We may suspend or remove any listing whose documentation lapses, who fails a background check, or who is reported for fraudulent behavior.
4 Subscriptions, billing & renewals
Paid features — including the locksmith Sponsored Verified subscription tiers (Starter, Pro, Premium) — are billed through Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe handles your card data; HireLocksmiths never sees or stores your full card number.
Recurring billing
- Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period (monthly or annual, as selected).
- The card on file is charged the renewal amount on the renewal date.
- We will email a receipt for each renewal.
Price changes
We may change subscription pricing on at least 30 days’ written notice. Continuing the subscription after the new price takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.
5 Refunds & cancellations
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account page or by emailing support@hirelocksmiths.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

6 User conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm any locksmith or other user.
- Scrape, crawl, or copy the directory at scale without written permission.
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any locksmith business.
- Attempt to circumvent the verification process or upload false documentation.
- Use the Service to send spam, phishing, or any unauthorized commercial communication.
- Interfere with the Service’s operation or attempt to access it via methods other than the interfaces we provide.
7 Third-party locksmiths & services
The locksmiths in the directory are independent. Any contract, dispute, or claim about locksmith work is between you and the locksmith. We are not a party.
The Service may include links to third-party websites, services, or APIs (Stripe for payments, Twilio for call routing, Mailchimp / ConvertKit for newsletter delivery, Amazon Associates for product links). Those services are governed by their own terms; we are not responsible for their content or practices.
8 Intellectual property
The Service, including the directory, editorial content, brand assets, source code, and databases, is owned by HireLocksmiths and protected by U.S. and international intellectual-property laws.
You may quote short excerpts of editorial content (typically up to 75 words) with attribution
and a link back. For longer use or syndication, contact support@hirelocksmiths.com.
The “Verified by HireLocksmiths” badge widget may only be embedded on the website of the verified locksmith it represents. Misuse of the badge will result in revocation.
9 Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not guarantee that any individual locksmith will be available at any given time, that pricing displayed is current, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10 Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HIRELOCKSMITHS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100.
11 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HireLocksmiths, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claim, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.
12 Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming.
Either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual-property rights or confidential information.
13 Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll bump the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, send notice to the email on file at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
Continuing to use the Service after the new Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
